Queridos amigos,                                            Cargas una Pistola?


"¿Cargas una pistola? ¿No tienes miedo de que te puedan robar? ", Esto preguntó mi primo durante nuestra reunión familiar anual de 175 personas.

"Preferiría perder mi dinero que mi vida", respondí. Un amigo cercano respondió: "Jack Benny a menudo contaba esta broma: "Un sujeto me enfrentó una vez diciendo, su dinero o su vida... y yo le respondí, lo estoy pensando. "

Mi compañero de vivienda colombiano agregó: "Una broma colombiana en respuesta a eso es Toma mi vida porque el dinero lo necesito."

Otro primo añadió: "Si tienes un arma, puedes disparar a la persona equivocada".
"¿Eres un partidario de Trump?" Le pregunté a mi primo hermano. "Sí, él está haciendo muchas cosas buenas", respondió. Yo respondí: "Como seguidor de Jesús, no puedo apoyarlo por los bombardeos: está matando gente". Él respondió: "¿Cuántos ha matado?" "No lo sé. Pero uno es demasiado. Mejor sigamos siendo amigos ". Y así terminó nuestra conversación.

Dear Friends,                                        Fear and the Corona Virus In some self-reflection I have come to see that I have been unconsciously enveloped in a fear over the coronavirus pandemic. I feel paralyzed and hopeless. I noticed I feel I just have to turn the radio on to keep up on what is happening. Each time I hear more figures on how it is getting worse everywhere in the world, it fills my mind, the focus of much of what I think about. When I came to see this was happening, I noticed I wanted to just turn on the radio, and it was and is hard to turn it off. Just about everything on the radio was related to the virus. In reflecting I realized this subconscious fear permeated me. This fear was not healthy. It was creating anxiousness and anxiety, and anything but peace and contentment.
